Fertile Years

"On a day when the wind is perfect, the sail just needs to open and the world is full of beauty. Today is such a day." Rumi

Why Herbal Medicine?

Picture
Herbal Medicine is a powerful ally for optimal health. From the moment it touches your mouth it's absorbed through the mucous membranes, bypassing digestion, and getting to work quickly and effectively. Each herb has its own unique character - some gentle, others more potent. The herbs I've chosen here are specifically selected for their ability to support you and your loved ones during this time of life.

The Remedy

Picture
Chaste Tree (Vitex agnus-castus)
Vitex works on the pituitary gland to balance luteinising hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), helping regulate oestrogen and progesterone. It's especially supportive for menstrual irregularities, PMS, and enhancing fertility.

Picture
Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera)
Withania helps lower cortisol, the stress hormone, which in turn supports better balance of reproductive hormones like oestrogen and progesterone. It may improve energy, libido, and resilience during the demanding fertile years.
It has often been where infertility may be a concern.

Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus)
The "queen of herbs" is deeply nourishing for female reproductive health. It supports healthy oestrogen function, enhances fertility, eases menstrual discomfort, and helps maintain cervical mucous production - key for conception.

Dong Quai (Angelica sinensis)
Often called "Female Ginseng", Dong Quai supports blood flow to the pelvic area, and helps to balance estrogen levels. It may ease menstrual cramps, regulate cycles, and support overall reproductive vitality. It is nourishing and particularly supportive for a deficiency state.

White Paeony (Paeonia lactiflora)
This strongly feminine herb helps to regulate estrogen and progesterone balance, and is particularly useful in conditions of hormonal imbalance like irregular cycles or PCOS. It also reduces cramping by relaxing smooth muscles and improving blood flow.

Skullcap (Scutellaria lateriflora)
Delicate Skullcap calms the nervous system, reducing stress and anxiety that can disrupt hormonal cycles. By supporting GABA activity in the brain, it indirectly helps maintain balance in reproductive hormones, improving sleep and emotional stability.

Oxymel Base
Our apple cider vinegar and Manuka honey oxymel base, helps metabolise and clear excess hormones, nourish with natural enzymes and antioxidants, and aid in liver detoxification and digestion. Blended with herbal extracts, the oxymel's natural acidity softens alcohol content for gentler absorption, creating a deliciously effective base that harmonises body, mind, and hormones.
